Jb4 issue

Hey everyone kinda still new to the forums here & need help on an issue.

Recently purchased a jb4 stage 2 from a trustworthy friend of mine but sold it to another friend since I needed the money for something else. It never had any issues on it whatsoever. Anyway he's having this error code come up on his car. BMW 328i F30. What can cause this to come up? Thanks!

Not sure at the moment but I'll ask. A friend of mine said the installer might have shorted something in order for that message to pop up. Such as installing it with the battery still intact. But he's stating he disconnected it...which I'm not sure he really did or not.

Possible. But the jb4 is able to read codes. Could be any number of things

As mentioned above we need codes and possibly datalogs

I just installed a JB4 on my 328i on Sunday and it immediately threw a drivetrain malfunction code and put my car into limp mode. I contacted Jon@burgertuning.com and he helped me through everything I needed to do, answered all my questions and replied pretty quickly. Definitely send him an email.
