A week today!

OK guys since it's Friday and it's a week to go until I pick my car up I thought i'd share it and ask who else has an impending collection date and what model are they waiting for?

Awaiting a date from lease company, but considering order was 14th Jan, safe to say 4-6 weeks?

My order was confirmed on Friday 4th January, build week 6 (w/c 4th Feb) then arrived at the dealer 20th Feb. Had it not been for waiting for 1st March could have picked it up early next week, so 8 weeks exactly from order to collection for me!

I've still got what seems like a lifetime too wait. They don't start building any 330d xDrives until the first week of March. And I have to add 8 weeks on for my individual paintwork, never mind the individual interior. Oh well roll on the summer. The dealer reckoned the end of JULY!!

Ah the price you pay for a bespoke order - in many ways! Individual paintwork is about £1,500? Am lucky I like the EBII so much and so far i've not seen many about at all really. Sounds like it will be a really good set of wheels - presume you'll be taking out the gap insurance too as it'll not be easily replaced should the worst happen!

The gap insurance only goes up to £30,000, so it is of limited help.

You are right about the blue (so far) I haven't seen one. Although I have seen quite a few monochromes (as in white to black), very dull IMHO, but ETTO.

The bespoke paint is actually £1,995

I went to a company function last year and when we met up the long row of primarily black, German cars in the car park was one of the reasons I decided to be different this time. I've seen one EBII so far, but to be fair i've only really been looking since the beginning of January.

I do think they look great in black and white though (I love the mineral white actually) and it was a Sport model in black that first drew me to the 3 series in the dealership. I figured that an M Sport only colour would give me more individually due to many being fleet cars and SE or Sport models.

I have had a little look at the 'Shortfall Insurance' and I might have to think about taking it out. but at least you can take out a policy up to 120 days after delivery of your car.

AT £250 the ala.co.uk quote certainly seems very good value for peace of mind. Of course, if BMW want to match their quote...

Based on my experience that should be reasonable, best of luck for that or anything sooner!

Hi Guys,

I'm new to the forum.

I ordered my 320i M Sport in EBII back in 19th Jan. Was told my car should arrive mid March. Fingers crossed, it'll be here soon!

Can't wait.

My xdrive330d(with adaptive M Sport Suspenison sort of) scheduled for BW13 (25 March). Delivery, mid to end April.

Awaiting the release of the M Performance parts in March to get the rear diffuser, so happy to wait.

Hi CCP

The £30k limit that GAP pays out is only on the shortfall, which makes it a hell of a lot of cover. GAP is a must if it is your car.

My Insurance broker suggested going with a good insurance and no need to pay for GAP. i.e. Aviva pay full cost of car if it's a total loss in the first 12 months
