Please post your F30 experience: years owned, mileage, plans to keep (or not)

F30 is now 10 years old. Time does fly.

This thread is best for those of us who purchased F30 and decided to own it beyond factory warranty.

Please share your experience:
- Year, model
- Current mileage
- Plans to keep or not
- Any notable issues and outcome

Garage List
Mine is a 2016 F30 B48 330i
60.000km (37.500mls)
Second owner, bought it in March 2021 and I'll keep the car for at least another 2 years
Had a cracked oil filter housing and the dealer replaced the vent line from expansion tank to cylinder head as a preventative maintenance job. Had to pay for it as it's not a recall here in Australia. Cost me about 1.5K AUD. Other than that a perfect daily. I have only made cosmetic updates such as M-Performance aerodynamic package & wheels, 340i muffler and F80 Competition interior. Drive train and suspension is OEM.

My vehicle is 2017 BMW 440i (F36) Gran Coupe.
42.7K miles
First owner. Purchased brand new & delivered in September 2016 as a 2017 model.
Low coolant warning was traced to a faulty main reservoir cap.
Rear window motor failed / replaced under warranty.

No modifications.

OEM M Adaptive suspension (while not perfect ...) still feels as good as new.

2016 f31 320i
88k kms
second owner, owned it for 3 months
doesn't drive very nicely, feels like the transmission struggles to figure out what it wants to do, downshifts harshly, hesitates and takes a very long time to perform a kick down into a lower gear, doesn't like taking off after slowing down at a give way sign for example.
tldr, don't really like it and i probably won't keep it much longer.

2018 F30 340i

I am the second owner. First owner was a GM at a BMW dealer down in ATL. Bought the car as a birthday present to myself in late October of 2020 and it had exactly 10,109 miles on the odo. I had it shipped from the BMW dealer to my home for a great deal. I wish I would of waited a little longer to get the exact spec, but I couldn't pass up on the deal and I needed a car since my previous X5 sold very quickly....quicker than expected.

I do not drive it much as I work from home and only need to head into the office (13miles one way) one time per week. We usually take my wife's SUV everywhere and my car sleeps in the garage.

I plan to keep the car until the spring / summer 2023. Depending on a few things. I am toying with the idea to put my car back to stock and sell off the aftermarket goodies, so when the time is right, I am not fumbling around trying to get the car sold.

As of right now, I only had the battery malfunction thing replaced in the headliner. Nothing else has gone wrong and the car has been fantastic to drive! I love every min of it!

I have done alot of mods to the car..please see sig below.

I am thinking my next car will either be an X3MC or X5. Not sure yet.

Car: 2015 F30 N55 335i
Miles: 94,200 miles(owned since 45k)
Mods: intake, charge-pipe, fmic, catless downpipe, remove resonator, tune.
Plans: keep it so far, nothing wrong with it. Still want to do switch the coilovers and put rims
Issues:
Valve cover gasket leak, replaced valve cover gasket - problem solved
oil housing gasket leaked, replaced - problem solved
Coil packs failed after tuned, replaced - problem solved
Charge pipe broken after tuning, replaced - problem solved
Tension pulley failed, replaced - problem solved
Tight rod end snapped, replaced both fronts - problem solved
Plastic Upper radiator hose snapped while working on the car, replaced - problem solved
Overall:I still love the car, handles well, has good power, feels newish aside from a few rattles. I know there's a small laundry list of issues there, but they were all easily addressable and well known issues with easy solutions. Things I feel like upgrading cars would bring me, like apple/android car play, are easily addressable through 3rd party market. Some new coilovers(my struts are shot being lowered for 50k miles) and rims and it'll feel pretty new again i think.
