See the icon on the left that looks like a musical note with a 'list', it's the 3rd one down: That brings up the list of Playlists (not shown). BMW elevated it out of the rest of the navigation which is under the magnifying glass icon. Then, when you scroll through the list of Playlists you get the next screen which shows the songs within it: Couldn't be easier to find your Playlists. BMW treats it quite importantly. You can even assign a 1-8 memory button on the dash to give you one-push access straight to your list of Playlists. BJ |

Thanks BJ. I love the idea of being able to set a playlist to a memory button.

Since most Swedes use Spotify all of the gadgets are pretty much useless anyway. I have them all but just use Bluetooth Audio from Spotify, it is the only way to get the song, artist and album and to be able to change song with from the car.

Not from Spotify.
I don't own any music so haven't tested anything else. Yeah, I tried Aupeo. But you have to open the app on the phone before it works and the connection is lost if the app closes or you lock the screen (as with all "apps"). BMW need to make it work much smoother before I'll use it daily. And the BMW live section works 1 time out of 10 tries. |

Anyway, I would beat myself with a stick if I found out that I had bought nav and HUD just to skip on some cheap options that later were necessary. Better safe and poor than sorry. |

The biggest issue for me is the setup time each time I want to drive away. I don't want to spend 1-2 min just configuring audio before I drive off. So now I just put my iPod touch in the arm rest connected with USB. It plays Spotify as soon as I start the car, but no info on the screen and can't change songs. I used Bluetooth audio from my iPhone at first but that will not connect automatically 50% of the time so I had to go into the menu and select iPhone and disable and enable audio. Hopefully there will be an firmware update soon for iOS 6 and with a bit of luck Spotify updates their app too. |

I really tried to make Aupeo work but after a hundred songs or so and I was still given the same shitty songs so I gave up. It even played song three and four from albums I already had hated two songs from. It's like they had ten or twenty albums in the database. And they all sucked. I wish Spotify would make a real BMW app version.

I'll get my f31 on Monday, equipped with everything I could possibly think of to get the phone connected.
I'm NOT an Apple fan, but was just about to abandon Android to get all these iphone/BMW features. Obviously, I don't feel like buying an old phone such as the 4S. If I go to the dark side, it'll be an iphone 5. With all this mess, I'm thinking if I should use an ipod for music (through cradle or USB) and Android for Internet, phone, e-mail, text messages etc (through bluetooth). Is that setup possible? What will I miss? What about apps? |

Could place a NFC sticker in the car that automatically turns on tethering. Most important is that I don't have to have contacts etc up-to-date in two devices. Another problem with having the phone hidden, connected to the snap-in, is that I can't use Waze, which is a must. Sorry, this is getting off topic... |

2. Update your iPhone to the latest firmware. 3. Make sure you actually have music on your iPhone (click iPod icon). BJ |

iPhone 5 should definitely have the latest firmware. I'm curious about this too as I have a 5 and expecting F30 delivery next week (oh, I love the sound of that)
