What did they do to the iDrive controller?! Yuck!

About the only thing I like is the rear spoiler but it's not much different from the one from BMW.

ACS actually did something I find nice

1. The body kit actually blends nicely with the F30 design. It's not flashy or gaudy like previous ACS work.

2. The power upgrades are good.

3. The wheels don't fit the persona of the F30. Those wheels are angular and sharp in their design. They would fit better on a Caddillac. ACS should have used a more fluid smooth design for the wheels. I think the F30 could support slightly larger wheels under those arches too - maybe get the fitment a little better so they come out to the fender edge.

4. Why the hell does ACS always use the most hideous graphics/stickers/branding on their cars? That shit has to stop.

5. The idrive controller looks like a part from an R/C car. Again ACS stop with the gimmicky crap.

I helped do a Schnitzer conversion on a '92 850i way back when. This looks like it's been *mildly* updated from then. I actually had looked at their catalog the night we brought the car home last weekend and was quite saddened to see its mostly crap. Err. Expensive crap.

Garage List
  1. Front spoiler : Ok from a distance, but close up looks a bit ricey. Side profile too sharp (see pic).
  2. Rear windscreen spoiler : Hmmm, I could live with that. Just.
  3. Boot spoiler : Too big for my taste.
  4. Diffuser : Too bulbous.
  5. Tailpipes : Don't look too bad on the 335i but on the 328i somehow looks a bit gimmicky.
  6. Wheels : Too aggressive for my liking.
  7. iDrive controller : That is just wrong.
  8. Brake lever cover : Harmless.
  9. Decals : Bit OTT.
  10. Performance mods : Now you're talking.

Now, if Bruce Forsyth was a car, he'd look like this...

Any way to lower this car, but keep the car level, rather than lower in the front, and keep proper suspension dynamics? Thanks.

AC Schnitzer doesn't make an impact to the masses as much as they did way back when. I still remember when i first saw the "Green Monster" E36 M3 widebody back in highschool, I was such a big fan. These days, it seems they've gone mainstream with their subtle designs and trying to reinvent old cues from the past.

They need to inspire us again with designs like this...

Even though I'm guilty of buying some ACS products, with all the other (better) alternatives, how are they even still in business?

Last decent kit they made was for the E46 coupe.

I've been offered a ACS power kit from an E90 335i with the N55 motor, but I have an F30 335i also with N55 motor. It's only been in the car for 10 months and can be transferred into another car without losing the balance of the warranty. It's also Motorplan friendly. Best part it's half price of a new one.

Does anyone know if this swop will work, the technician at the BMW & official ACS dealership here in South Africa has emailed ACS in Germany, but we still waiting for a reply and tomorrow is a public holiday so might only get answer on Monday!

Thank you
