Traction was perfect at launch. Must have something to do w the wheels and tires-275's.

update from New Jersey Island Drag way on 3.25.2016

long post warning!
Went back to the track on 3/25/16. Island Dragway in New Jersey.
Im running the 2014 328i Xdrive, auto, N26 engine. Bone stock!.
Sport + coded and launch control active.

CAR #844
Only upgrade is the Active Autowerkes Active 8 Module.
*Used 8 gallons of 103 Octane Race fuel made with race-gas Racing fuel Concentrate and 93 octane base Shell V power fuel.

Best run of the night (and so happy to break into the 12's) was a 12.928!
I was running low 13's all night 13.106, 13.090, all on MAP 8. (see pics)
I finally had enough, AFTER about 7 runs hitting low 13's so i did one thing I would NEVER recommend, I pulled the air filters (the N26 engine has two, a normal paper air filter and one behind it for emissions). But it really helped my top end and gave me a higher trap speed, and I finally got into the 12's.
In reality i would rather know i'm running low 13's and keep the intake of my engine clean then run high 12's and have a chance of sucking up some road debris and killing the turbo or internals...

So since we all know "talk is cheap" here are my time slips and some video recordings of my runs as proof. (sorry for the bouncing around it was recorded from my HTC m8 phone.)

*(The first video is my 12.928 run) no music just sweet BMW sound!
All others are the low 13.106, 13.090 runs some with Torque Pro track recordings and some just camcorder mode.
All music that was playing is on my stereo at that time, these are not edited so be warned...lol

Went to the strip this afternoon. Only my 2nd time drag racing (car #3060). Weather was around 85 degrees. Mods are in the sig. Tires are the all-season runflats.

Man..... Finally, proof that the N20 can make 12's. Your 60ft is pretty solid!

Has anyone tried drag radials? Or even other tires? Seems like the majority of times are with stock tires. I'd love to see what these cars do on a better equipped tire.
