Nice car!

I am in the Sunnyvale area, and have M sport grey as well.

How much did it cost you to install the M performance aero lip and diffuser? The service department in my dealer gave me a ridiculous quote of $1600!

Is that price all in? I paid $1400 including paint on the rear diffuser. Labor around here is ridiculous. Hourly is $180 and the best I could get them to do is knock off 15% on labor.

That's just for the labor, they told me the bumper need to be taken off. Didn't even include the paint.

From the installation guide, it doesn't sound like the bumper need to be removed.

The estimate was whole work takes 8 hours to install the splitter, rocker panel and diffuser.

Wow that's a blatant ripoff. I installed the rear diffuser, rear carbon lip, side rocker extentions and the front lip, basically the whole M performance kit myself and it took about 3 hours in my driveway with no lift. The dealers should be able to do it in 2 at most.

I would love to do it myself, but I thought it would require a lift that's why I checked with the dealer.

Off topic:
avantix, is it possible to drill the holes in the bumper without a lift? I would appreciate if you can give me some pointers about it. Can you PM me the details please.

As I suspected, the very rigid RFTs were transferring all the road rash and imperfections to the cabin. They felt fine with M-Sport suspension because of the softer dampers. Michelin Pilot Super Sports are AMAZING! Superior grip and handling with just the right amount of dampening to bring back some of the comfort.

Below are updated pix of my 335i M-Sport 6MT in Mineral Grey with Aluminum Hex/Black interior.

Original PKG and options: Tech, Prem, Driver Assis, 403M 19" wheels, HK Sound, heated seats.

Car includes the following ///M Performance parts:
  • ///M Performance Front Aero Lip Kit
  • ///M Performance Rear Aero Diffuser
  • ///M Performance Carbon Fiber Rear Spoiler
  • ///M Performance Exhaust
  • ///M Performance Suspension
  • ///M Performance Stainless Steel Pedals
  • ///M Performance Carbon Fiber Mirror Caps

Next in line will be ///M Performance Brakes and maybe PPK.

For those that are curious about the ride height of the M-Sport suspension - Front sits at just under 27" and rear sits at 26-5/8". You can see measurements here:
http://www.f30post.com/forums/album.php?albumid=8119

Enjoy!

BBS CH-R Wheels with BMW Center Caps & ///M Valve Caps

Front: 19x8.5 ET32
Rear: 19x9.5 ET35

Tires: Michelin Pilot Super Sport
Front: 225/40-19
Rear: 255/35-19

I'm actually think of doing the exact same Wheel/tire combo with my car...glad I did a search to see what's the best color combo, I was afraid of black (Jameson talked me out of it), and thought titanium was too similar to MG.

Could you PM how much the entire combo cost?

I need some street tires, so I can relegate my 18's for track days only (and get some serious rubber on 'em!)

Except for the M Performance Suspension/Brakes/PPK (and my lack of the body work), our cars are almost the same:

Not sure what you mean. The rear spoiler is the M Performance CF OEM version. It is designed to raise the rear aero line to compensate for the front lip spoiler at higher speeds. It does sit higher than other BMW spoilers or after-market versions.

That's what I mean it has more angel=more downforce, all the copy ones are same design as normal BMW spoilers but the carbon fiber is different I just noticed that.. I already have the normal one but I don't have the M-package so I guess I don't need that much downforce in rear depending on what you say so it can match the stock bumper front lip

Came standard. We don't get fog lights on the M-Sport in North America. BMW thinks we need more air flow in warmer climates. I'm San Francisco where it's rarely over 80F. Funny thing is that I wish I could have added Fog lights - lots of fog in SF.
