How long after F30 introduction before diesel?
Assuming it will not be available at the beginning, how long after the new model comes out should the diesel be available?

320d AND 330d. Canada too.
I bet the 335d will come out on day 1 (exising engine) and then some new engines a year later. Just like the e90s....came out first in 2006 with same engines as e46, then all new 328 and 335 came out the next year 2007. |

if they bring the 330d and I can get it in manual, that will likely be my next car

I'd love a 320D as a commute car. That'd be pretty awesome for my 3 hour drive every week... as far as MPGs go.

I would buy a 320d in a heartbeat. Small, efficient engine is all I need on a commute, and a sporty drive to boot. I don't need a big 335d

You would pay 57k for a diesel wagon? Your one of just a few.

It will be available 6 months to a year later is my guess.

I think it depends on what F10 diesel they introduce. If its 520d or 530d then we can assume 320d or 330d will be released with launch of F30. This is just my own speculation

Our BMW rep has told us US production diesel 3's will be here about 1 year after the launch of new 3. New 3 goes into production this year in August. So about 2 years from now we will see the oil burners here again. He also said the 328 will have a HWY MPG of 40. I can't wait to see what the diesel's will be rated at. |
