Hello all!
Just finished dipping my wheels
I think they came out pretty good
5 coats of black and 1 wet coat of glossifier.

All in all it ran about $25 for 3 cans of black and one of the gloss. Only a few hours of work. I removed the wheels and cleaned, then used the Pre Dip cleaner (you could use a little isopropyl alcohol) just to finish cleaning. Then went on with the coats of black, progressively getting thicker and wetter costs sprayed on. Finished with the glossifier just one wet coat of gloss seems like enough to me.

Boom, Batmobile.

Thanks!
I'd probably put another coat or two of the black before the gloss. The gloss can be tricky! It'll get hazy if you change the temp it's in, or even lay them too horizontally.
Worst case scenario just peel it off and spray again. Lol

Plastidip has no recoat window, so you can put on the glossifier whenever you want. If you have a compressor and spray gun though, I'd use their new high gloss coating. Stuff is amazing. I can't wait until they release it in rattle cans.

@Mike_l Thanks going to do glossify it this weekend. I wonder how it would look on Estoril Blue?

Yes! The Top Coat really looks awesome! Comparable to OEM gloss paint.
The DYC actual store and headquarters are down the street from me in Coral Springs, FL. Pretty cool stuff I've seen them do.

It's gonna look great I'm sure!

If I do a different color on mine I will probably go with the Anthracite Grey Metallic.

I did the Anthracite on my test wheel for the 750. Looks pretty good with a high gloss, though a bit lighter than I had hoped. Unfortunately, I got rid of the car before I had the chance to do the rest of the wheels.

Did you spray it over a black base?

Yep. 5 coats of black, 3 coats of Anthracite, 3 coats of Glossifier. I get the black dirt cheap at Home Depot ($5.23 a can) so I use it as a base for everything.

Can you give us close ups of the dipped wheels please? I have thought about doing this but the only thing which deterred me was that matte finish you get. This glossifier has certainly peaked my interest!

I absolutely love it! Changes the whole look of the car so I'm happy with this $40 job as compared to thousands on a new set of wheels like I was thinking about before.

Know it's not a close up or the best angle, but here is a pic of my 400m's right after I did the Anthracite Gray(4 coats) with 1 coat of the glossifier as I didn't want them to be too shiny.

the biggest problems you guys might face is that plastidip really attracts brake dust so in about a week or so it will become very difficult to clean
