I was due to pick up a superman spec 13 plate 330d M sport this weekend from a dealer in Newcastle. But it fell through as it turned out it had no service history

I really like the superman spec (estoril blue with red leather) but it's not a very popular combination and they seldom come up for sale. Only options I'd really like are HK & Pronav.

Do any of you lovely people have a superman spec 330/335d that you're thinking of selling?

I would recommend you add xenon lights to your requirements. Most 330d models will have them, but it makes quite a difference. BMW halogens are remarkably poor, and after-market upgrades may well fall outside the new harsher MOT rules.

Good luck in finding one - the superman combination is an acquired taste!

Have to give those that thought of calling “Superman” credit for trying to make an awful combo seem cool though.

Buying one second hand is a brave move. You not only have to find someone with poor taste to buy it from, but another to sell it to later

It’s not as rare an option as you think plenty of people love it and spec’d it.

I nearly went for that combo! Does look good... but when I saw the car next to it which was MG & CR it was clearly the winner for me

Thanks everyone for your replies, I completely agree JD6, the xenons do actually make a big difference and I'll make sure it has them

Although I appreciate the colour combo is an acquired taste and not for everyone,
I'm not really one for letting other people's opinions influence me too much (to hell with convention!); besides, life is too short to buy a car in a spec that you don't want, just to please the next guy who buys it.

Gotta do what makes you happy, not everyone else

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going shopping to buy a Superman outfit to match my future car.

My 330d has the seemingly infamous Estriol blue and red leather combo It certainly divides opinion amongst my peers, most of whom openly share their distaste with me! Ahahha

I’ve never heard the term ‘Superman spec’ but I love it and definitely looks better in person. Funnily enough it wasn’t a combination I’d ever thought of or considered until I stumbled across my one as a prospective buyer and fell in love lol

Are you looking for F30 or F31? I've got a F31 335d xdrive mineral grey/black interior, nav/hk/hud/heated f+r/m sport pack/m perf bits (except wheels), front ppf'd etc.

Wow that looks absolutely stunning! You sir have great taste! I almost don't want the rear windows to be tinted on mine, just so I can see all the red leather seats from the outside

I've no doubt it has some kind of history somewhere, but BMW have no record of it ever being serviced by them, and the only time it went to them was for a recall. The garage (Redgate Lodge) had no service records from the previous 2 owners so it just seemed a bit of a risk to me. It's back for sale on autotrader.
