Hello Bimmer community,

I just recently got myself a 335i x-drive model with an M-kit after finally retiring my E90 of 17 years. It has around 90k miles and is pretty clean (so far). I was wondering if you guys could provide any tips or insights into what I’ve gotten myself into and what should I prepare/do to maintain the cars expectancy hopefully equivalent to my E90.

As you may have figured, I’m not an entire expert but I do my own maintenance if possible always.

Search and you will find a ton of threads about "recommended maintenance". You can check the dedicated maint. section or the N55 engine tech section.

Do yourself a favor and change the charge pipe to a metal one like the one from Evolution Racewerks. It's only a matter of time before the stock plastic one bursts.

Coolant return line. Plastic connector gets brittle and will snap and leak coolant. $30 part and super easy swap
