SOLVED: G30 Wheels on F30 (20" staggered to work?) /Will NOT work!

SOLVED: G30 wheels have a wheel PCD of 5*112 while F3x have wheel PCD of 5*120. Therefore not possible mounting wheels of those cars on the other car

Hi, I have some questions for the wheel/tire gurus.
I've just been looking at the (new 5-series) G30 M Performance wheels and are wondering if they would fit on the F30.

F30 20" staggered setup (i.e. 405M Wheels)
Front 225/35 on 8" offset=36mm
Rear 255/30 on 8.5" offset=40mm

G30 20" staggered setup is:
Front 245/35 on 8" offset=30mm
Rear 275/30 on 9" offset=44mm

Would it be possible to run the G30 setup on the F30? (physically)

As the wheel diameter/tire circumference is 2% larger on the G30 setup, the F30 speedometer would show 2% less speed.
In my country, I need to change the speedometer so it will not show less, then real speed driven.
How easy could that be done on the F30? Is it just a coding thing?

Would it be possible to mount the 245/35 on the F30 405M front rim 8" offset/36? So I would not have to deal with different offset at the front wheels. (I didn't know 245 would fit on the 8")
So I would just have to buy the G30 rear 405M 9" rims.

Thanks
H-P

I'm almost sure G30 will use 5x112 bolt pattern as all new BMW models do.

Sorry, don't understand what exactly you mean by 112.
I could see that wheel bolts are the same as for F30 models (M14X1,25 with same Part #).
But if the 5 holes have the same dimensions, I couldn't see.

I checked some of the brake disc or other wheels (like emergency wheel) of the G30, if it is listed for the F30 as well, but they are not.
The G30 emergency wheel is the same as the one for the new 7-series G11/G12.

Correct.

Older BMW (F30 included) uses 5x120, 5 wheel bolts with 120mm PCD (pitch circle diameter).

New BMW modells has start to use 5x112, still 5 bolts but PCD decreased to 112mm.

Thanks, I see. Just found a database and the new 7-series G11/G12 also has PCD of 112mm

So, nice idea
