Winter wheels already?

My new 320 will be delivered tomorrow
I was informed today that the put the winter wheels on it. Great thinking with low temps coming up, but temp still ranges from 10-16 Celsius and the average will reach 7 Celsius within 6 weeks.
Should I have them change the wheels?

Gefeliciteerd en welkom hier.

Don't change them yet. Only when it snows and icey conditions. The 7 degrees Celsius thing is more marketing than just safety in normal (also wet) conditions.

I prefer summertyres anytime, unless it snows/icey conditions.
And yes I have my wintertyres stored at my dealer during the rest of the year.

Cheers
Robin

NL: Dank je wel Robin
EN: Thanks Robin.

I'll call the tire shop a ring tomorrow to get there opioning as well, and check whether they have time to replay the wheels mid october.
If not, i'll keep the winter wheel on it and start praying for snow
It will be only 1000 tot 2000 kms before the average temp is 7C

Winter wheels have to be driven in too (about 150-500km). So just let em on and they are fully ready when the temps start falling.

The first time with new winter wheels I always swap them a little earlier. I'm going to swap on Monday just because of that.

+1 I wouldn't switch them until you actually get snow. Or at least wait until it starts going below 0 Celsius.

I got an email a week or two ago from the leasing company to make an appointment for putting on the winter tires. I thought it a bit early, so I made the a appointment for the end of October.

Ditto.

Around Halloween.

Except last year on 10/27 we got 15" of snow.

Probably have my setup on the car in 3 weeks.
