Hi

Im trying to install the new 2015-2 Europe NEXT map to to my 2014 F30 3161 (Business nav.) but I keep getting:

"The navigation data in the car is incomplete or manipulated. Please have it checked by your service center"

Ive double checked torrent data and also used 7zip to test archive and everything seems fine. Im using portable 1TB WD Passport HDD, formatted to FAT32 and I have removed all hidden files/folders and HDD has only 1 partition.

Any clues ? Could it be because im using HDD instead flash USB ? Can it be BMW somehow implemented some sort of security lock ?

Also, can someone explain to me what are all the different map types I saw, Europe MOVE, Europe NEXT, Professional etc ? Are those flavours of maps like Windows Professional, Home Editions etc. ?

Each Head Unit Type can only run one specific Map Type. You have ENTRYNAV Head Unit, and can run only ROUTE Map. The NEXT Map you are trying to load is only for NBT Head Unit, and is incompatible with your Head Unit.

No, they can't be. A Head Unit can only run the one map type intended for it.

What's the latest map for CIC? I tried searching the thread but got a thumb ache using my phone!

Also what's the difference likely to be - just better map 'knowledge' or new graphics, design, functionality etc?
