In the Sunday Times ' Driving ' section somebody has written in complaining about an irritating ticking noise coming from the engine of his 328.
BMW are in denial re: this problem but the Sunday Times motoring experts think that the noise could be due to noisy injectors.
Now, I have a 328, an AUC. The first car I drove, whilst looking for a used 328 was exactly as this reader describes, very noisy ,tappety, but the Sunday Times experts are probably right in their diagnosis.
The car I bought has a much quieter engine than the first car, so they are not all the same.
The advantage of buying used, you can drive the car and reject it and then find another.
