Heated steering wheel

Hi

Since I received the car I initially thought that the steering wheel isn't supposed to be very warm, but just enough for it not to be Cold. But have been reading online that some people mentioned that theirs get noticeably warm.

Now on mine even on a mild day I can barely feel it's there, it also seems quite spotty. My wife can't even tell if it's on that's how feint it is.

Can other comment on how warm theirs get please, it might be that I have a fault.

Mine is just right, a nice background heat without ever getting to warm.

I had it on in the winter for the 30 mile trip to work without issue. Only thing is if you touch the metal trim then that's bloody cold in comparison. (1st world problems )

mine gets appreciably warm, not hot but definitely warm. In winter I wear a pair of leather driving gloves and I can feel the warmth of the wheel through the gloves.

Mine is lovely and warm, can even be classed as toasty.
Unlike my heated seats, they hardly get warm at all, they are rubbish.

I find the seats get warm quite quick and get pretty warm! I only leave mine on for about 4-5 mins - just to take the chill off. Dont like it too squidgy.

Interested about the heated steering wheel as I've just added to the order on mine.

Sounds strange.

Mine are nice and warm and sometimes too warm :

What type of clothing do you wear? Jeans may shield you somewhat from the initial heat whereas suit pants (being thinner) allow more heat through.

Eco poo mode also drops the heat in the seats..... Similarly I find my seats are hotter in Sport mode!

Or is that just me driving like my ass is on fire

Aahhhh, that could be it then, I usually drive in ecopoo as I have a boring commute and generally I am in no rush to get to work. Lol.

I will try tomorrow and see if comfort or sport has a bearing on it? Thanks.

The heated steering wheel on my Range Rover did seem to get warmer than the wheel on my GC, but, I thought that one wasn't warm initially.

Same with the seats, almost as if the heating elements had to bed in.

You have got to take your gloves off to notice it

My steering wheel gets 'furry hot water bottle' warm. The seats get too hot for me on setting 3, so normally set to 1.

They're the hottest seats I've had in any car I've owned.

tbh we haven't had the weather for it this winter (or the last two winters) but 5 years ago when it was -14°C I couldn't hold the steering wheel without gloves!

The wheel should definitely be getting comfortably warm around the whole grip area.
I'd give the dealer a shout & get them to check it.

I love the heated steering wheel. Mine feels like a warm mug of coffee in my hands.
I love the heated seats too. Great for when my back is playing up.
