Active cruise control with stop and go and Track Package

I was going trough the 340 configurator on the BMW US and Canadian web sight found when you select Track Package it removes Active cruise control with stop and go and vice versa. This must be something new because I have it on my 340xi with the track package. Supposedly it's to do with the M brakes. Does anyone know why?

I do not know the answer to your question, but that is curious. That being said, I told myself that if I ever compromised and got an 8AT, ACC would be a requirement. What a great convenience AND safety feature on my wife's Volvo XC60 R-Design. Love it.

This is a very recent change, someone on the east coast had a 2016 estoril blue model with track, x drive and adaptive cruise delivered in 2015. My guess is that it was a marketing decision to achieve something that is lost to me. The change was made a couple months ago.

You may want to check with your SA. They can sometimes configure cars differently from the "Build" web site we can access.
