This what I thought.

I have NBT 2014 with touch in my 1 series. Will a 2013 F31 one with out touch have the same features minus the touch? As long as it has dab.
Yes all same features. I think all F31's have DAB, but not certain.
I have an f31 without dab

F31 2012 September build with NBT Pro Nav. And yes no touch controller, had a loan car with touch but didn't fund it that useful. Also don't have DAB, I think DAB was standard from Jan 13 onwards. Other thing to note my model had the rusty metal on both front seats, which were changed under warranty.

F30 initially launched with the CIC. F31 always had the NBT if you had pronav, otherwise it was CIC based HU_ENTRY/CHAMP2.

mine Sept 2012 didn't have DAB so I had to pay £500 for them to retrofit it! a small price to pay for TMS.

Out of interest where did you get this done? Is it proper dab retrofit or the dealer option where dab is on one radio channel and you have to choose stations with a separate remote?

Do '66 onwards have an even more up to date system? The main options screen on a 66 plate I test drove looked very "App" like and better than the one I have in my 16 plate.

As a right-handed person, I don't find the touch control aspect useful, but it is a lot nicer to use than the smaller alternative which I occasionally have in loan cars.

Yes they have idrive 5. Which is already outdated as the G30 has idrive 6!

Mine was a dealer fit and has a separate remote that i have stuck just below the Idrive thing. It is a bit of a pain to flick through the channels, but bearable.

I wouldn't bother even if you could. From what I've seen of it, it's a backwards step.

It's build date of cars, not Reg date. There will be 16 plate cars in the road with iDrive 5...
