What piping/tip is that? I am considering this, but I do not want something too loud/obnoxious.

Well i know that it is 3inch piping and custom dual tips. I advice you to do it man. It sounds really nice

I did it and it sounds amazing, it gargles the sound and draws attention, but my cousin did it and it just sounds like it's screaming and burning tires.
You pay for what you get cause I payed 150 and it sounds legit and my cousin payed 100 and it just sounds weird.

Doesn't quite make sense, what was the difference? different size pipes? different tips?

Driving and letting the car idle are two different things. Mine did sound nice at startup and idle but driving around it was like a civic. I was embarrased. I went back to stock.

I know it seems weird i was surprised as well, but the way the pipes are bent makes a big difference in the echo i guess. I'm not too sure, but i think its the way its bent and installed cause my cousin and i both have the same tips.
It might be cause mine is M sport and his is a normal 328i, but i dont see why that would affect anything.

Hey guys. I honestly think its the pipe size that makes it sound different. I have 3 inch pipes and it sounds amazing. But a buddy of mine 2.5 inch pipes and sound like a civic lol

I was thinking about doing this for my 328. So from what i understand it would be better to go with 3" piping? What size exhuast tips? Also, would a muffler delete throw any error codes or void the warranty at all?

I had it done on my 320i a while ago. It's really pretty quiet to be honest. I'll see if I can get a video of it.

Went to the local meineke just for a hip shot quote and the guy said it'd be 450-500 bucks and that a kit should be able to be bought for a muffler delete. I showed him pictures of the muffler deletes and he said that aluminum pipes would cost about 150 bucks and that nobody can bend a stainless steel pipe. He was being a real ass about it but whatever. He seemed like he didn't know what he was talking about. He said that a clamp was bad because they fall off. Whatever I'll go somewhere else. But what exactly has to be done to get the best sound? I saw only $150 for the whole thing. I'll try a friend's mechanic shop next!

Don't go to a chain muffler place. Go to some mom and pop shop and it'll be a third of the cost.

Also, they're not going to use aluminum pipe, it will be some sort of anodized mild steel, which is very bendable if that's the route you want to take.

Found a muffler shop that'll do it for $105 total, I just need some tips to go with it. I'd like stainless steel and there are no twin tips that can fit in that tiny tiny hole! What kinda tips did you guys use?

Previous car : 07 335, Muffler delete, str8 Pipes, Infinity G35 Tips, ect..

I have decided to start with this setup:

13' 328 Msport.

Bigger Tips (with hole in the bottom to decrease the black sut getting on the edge of the tips)

and a resonator delete.

Will have this done next week and will get pics/vid up soon after...here are the pics of the tips.

Is there any droning with the stock resonated kept on place? Also because turbos apparently preform better with more air flow, are there any noticeable power increases or decreases?

I see you in the bottom right of your first pic, and what size tips did you go with?
