Michelin CrossClimate 2 RFT Noisy!
Does anyone else have these tires? I have a set on my newly acquired F31, and damn, it sounds like I have bad wheel bearings. I expected more from a Michelin.

Mine are as quiet as any tire I've owned, quieter than most. Huge improvement over the original Conti RFT. But mine aren't RFT. AFAIK they don't make a CrossClimate 2 RFT.

I have non-RFT on our Audi, and yes, they are very noisy in comparison to the pure summer tires that I removed. Issue is how the tire is designed to be best in all conditions.
I think it has to do with that sweeping tread pattern always touching the ground. It does couple in noise a lot more than other tires. |

I guess they'd be noisier than summers. I can't say. The last time I had summers was before the invention of all seasons, forty odd years ago.

I noticed the same with Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 3+ on my Golf GTI.
The Continental DW summers wore out so I replaced them with those, and could hear a lot more tread noise inside and outside the car. |
