That only offers me 1008 - surely my F34 take take a later version than that. Although saying that when I tried to use 5021 and 5062 - the message via iDrive was that these version were invalid.

Am I truly stuck on such an old revision?

Hmmmm..... When I enter my VIN, there are two UPD files 5062 & 5021 with the former being the one selected for my VIN. When I applied UPOD5062, car now has TN (telephone & MN (media) versions 2.255.60, prior to that, car had 2.045.001 -- which was further upgraded when dealer updated my software.

You may want to go into your dealer and tell them you want your software updated, but you'll need a reason -- perhaps having problems with blue tooth connection.

Car is F32, built August 2013. Dealer updated s/w to TN-002.255.062 and MN-002.255.060. I can no longer import music from USB which I could before the update. Additionally when I search the music colllection on the hard drive of the NBT, it no longer goes to the current song playing, instead it goes to the first song in the music collection. Checking vehicles current s/w, I get notification s/w is up to date and will not let me update.

I'll give up the heated steering wheel icon to get my import function back.

Any ideas?

Thanks for this thread. I'm on NBT_I and the music app but with stuck covert art and music details despite advancing the track was driving me nuts.

My car is a April 2015 production F36 but I still had 5021.

I just updated to 5062 and it seems like the bug was fixed. Fingers crossed.

I had an issue with cover art freezing problem since my 2012 F30 335i.
Currently, I have 2014 F32 435i but it still had that problem. :thumb down

After reading this thread carefully, I found that my car can update to the latest even if it was PRE-Mar2014.

I had ...

• NBT : Version B
• MN-002.033.002
• TN-002.034.001
• Navigation : 2014-1 North America

First, when I asked SA to update all firmware including NavMap.
They updated Navigation only to 2016-1 for $297 (incl. labor)

But NBT version nor MN/TN were updated.

After long conversation, I was able to convince Engineers and SA to update my car on warranty repair because of album art issue.

To ask full update, I used this term, "Please do the integration level. Full-car programming."

One of BMW engineer understood meaning of that term, and he also mentioned that I would need a process called "Key suite update"(or something sound similar to this) for updating Bluetooth issues.

After over night update, now I have.

• F32 2012-Feb 435i
• NBT : Version K
• MN-003.001.002
• TN-003.001.002
• Map : 2016-1 (I paid for this.)

New things I notice...

• Supports "Express Lane"(CA,USA) preference in routing guidances
• Supports "Car Pool Lane" preference in routing guidances
• Music Search from iPhone by Artist, Title, Album and etc.
• Cover Art freeze problem is gone.
• Some changes in Navigation icon and context menu.
• Briefly shows routing preference setting when starting guidance

Something I bother...

• BMW Online store, switching between "Updating Application" and "Notes, No Connection". It was working before. I'm going to try it on different location since my home does not get good cellular reception for 3G data.
