Don't think any uk cars come from SA?

Not sure, I know all RHD 3 series E46 of certain years were made in SA.

Reading the US threads on delivery, it seems SA are making some 3 Series for the US. Not every car going to the US is SA made, but these days the majors are steering away from 1 type car production lines. So your car could be made in any of the assembly plants, subject to local orders and demand.

I do hope mine is made in Germany.

Why did you sell your 330d in such a hurry? Why didnt you wait until a time near when the new one came.

Because I stupidly believed the 8 weeks lead time they gave me when I ordered...this was then to be confirmed a week after. As the factory was shut its taken them this long to get a date.

I thought my 330d would take a while sell (as they often do struggle), I guess overall this is still fine, as I didnt want to be stuck with two cars!

Yeah dont blame you trying to sell it early I guess. You would have thought 8 weeks would be a sensible time to start to advertise and sell it - just in time to pick up the new one. Shame the new one is now delayed.

Yeah, i am really thinking if I should threaten to cancel my order as they mislead my by about 100% on the timescales.

You never know, that may speed things up OR just leave me with no car at all

if they did manage to get the car earlier....would i car about the tweaked Nav? Probably not!

That what I thought, my dealer didn't have a clue about the new idrive.
