Anyone else on the Galaxy Ace?

update - the end is in sight! - Car unloaded in Elizabeth NJ on Apr 15, VPC work order started today Apr 17. Scheduled to be delivered to the dealer in CT on the 21st. Might actually be able to pick it up this weekend if that is true! I doubt it since everything has taken longer than advertised. But should be ready by next weekend I would think. That would make the whole thing, from ordering to delivery, spot on 3 months.

wow less than a week from unloading to dealer? that would be amazing? do you have any PIA? I was expecting two weeks at VPC then two weeks to delivery at dealer.

MPPSK, front splitter and black kidney grille are the port installed options I have ordered. So theoretically shouldn't take too long. I'm skeptical that the whole thing will take 4 days, but will see.

meh - don't actually know. Probably not. My dealer says still not released to the truck so I'd be surprised if it gets released, transported up to CT and prepped in 36 hours. Expect it to be next week - either end of day or Friday morning (which as luck would have it I have off!) You may wind up taking delivery before me even tho you ordered your car over a month after I did.

quoting my post from above to make the point that these timelines are really lot of BS, and imo BMW shouldnt even engage in this silliness. My car supposedly reached the port of Eliz on Apr 15. It was NOT released to the dealer on Apr 21. The work order at the VPC has not been completed, and I'm beginning to wonder if something else is going on - ie was there damage that needs to be repaired? - When I called Genius today I was told "O this car is loaded, its gonna take awhile." Really? Three port installed options: MPPSK, Black kidneys, front splitter. I mean they knew that when they told me the car would be released on the 21st. Eh... whatever. I'm just frustrated. My dealer has no idea what the delay is. I will go over the car very carefully when it finally is delivered. Am I nuts?

sounds frustrating for sure but time will tell and no I don't think you are nuts for thinking something else might be going on although not likely.

dealer emailed me this morning - my car has been released to the trucking co. So - how long to drive from Eliz NJ to Darien Ct - distance is 60 miles. who knows how long that will take - maybe the truck makes a bunch of stops? probably will knowing my luck....

from that pic I'm thinking the spacers would make that stance a bit more to my liking. I bought 10mm for front and 15 mm for rear. Other mods I have:

M Perf carbon/alcantara gear shift knob and boot and matching e brake handle/boot. I have an ebay spoiler painted alpine white which might just look good on this thang.....

Getting very psyched to pick it up!
