BMW Ultimate Driving Experience 2016? UPDATE: No national 2016 event, only regional

I can say I speak for many members here who've enjoyed the UDE as I have the past two years. However, doing a quick search I could't find any schedule/dates for 2016. Does anyone know if they will continue UDE for 2016?

Yea, I would like to know what's coming, since I'm planning on getting an M3 that 1k will be nice.

I just visit dealerships if a new model comes out and ask for a test drive. If not, I wait till service is due and drive courtesys. They've given me a 2015 320i, a 2015 X1 and a 2014 528i so far.

I asked my CA today and he said UDE cash wasn't eligble for my M3. Not sure if it's an exclusion or because I already have it ordered.

Wow, you're ready to go! haha More than likely they will have one. It usually starts in the spring.

IIRC in 2014 they came to Miami late October and in 2015 they came right back in May. Hopefully they will continue with this as its just plain out fun. Maybe I'll shell out the $750 for the full day experience with the M3

I felt it wasn't worth it, Free is much better lol

Check with BMW direct. I asked them last year and it was but it was only applicable for 2015 MY.

True, plus the better 1/2 would rather use that money towards theme parks. FWIW, how much actual time did you get behind the wheel and did you get to drive all the M cars they had available?

I had the question that came up, if you have one on order already, that cash is not suppose to apply. It's mainly for new sales, the SA did mention that it's a pita, but can make it work. Not sure the details on that.

They applied it to my car and I ordered it months before the f8x was even released in the USA.

Just went to my area BMW UDE and it turns out that they canceled the 'national' UDE events. For this year they're only having smaller dealer sponsored regional events.

The event today was much smaller than last year. No BMW tent with vintage cars and displays, side attractions, driving presenation, ride along driver instructor, or timed autocross, etc.

Turns out my local event was focused on x-drive and they had a meeting room with lunch and a PowerPoint and video presentation on x-drive. At first I was a tad disappointed since the 2015 event was so fun and well polished. Then they led out to road test drive all the different models, no M models. And then the autocross. They have instructors from the M driving school but they were there to just organize the event. They let us in the cars and said go at it on the autocross, which was still a ton of fun. Then that was it.

Overall still worth it to check out and wreck some tires on the demo cars but definitely less polished and performance oriented than last year.

You guys should try to get your BMWCCA chapter to organize a performance center event.

hammering the school's M cars and 335 (dsc off on skidpad!) is the way to go for getting a good test drive
