For those that bought Nav, it adds roughly £500 to the re-sale value. Not too bad as other than Automatic gearbox, all other options add zilch.
On my BMW Contract Hire quote the pro nav package was just short of £30/month incl the vat payable (half of 20%); over 47 months + 1 month deposit; so approx £1440 over the full term. Some options they see as adding to the residual and they'll be a bit cheaper than the full cost, e.g. nav, leather; but others - e.g. Harman Kardon - you're pretty much paying for the full cost of them,

Agreed, I have seen lease companies that offer a NAV option within thier lists. So you can get it slightly cheaper as it has been seen to increase final value a little.

VW are no better, but I managed to get their £1900 Sat Nav system through the VW forum for £500! It was a genuine one. Unfortunately, it sounded sh*t (they all do when loaded with lots of features and the LED Screen) compared to the boggo Radio/CD player and I ended up buying new speakers, amps and a sub-woofer thereby spending an extra £3000. Was I f**ked off or what?

Today is one of those days for me. I just wanted a good rant. I still feel p**sed off and hacked off, though.

Dude, I paid for a last generation inbuilt sat nav in my Merc. I would do it all again because there are things that a priceless with an inbuilt system. For example the SatNav picks up the vehicle speed and turning signals, which means you can be driving under guidance long before your plug in device has even found a satelite. You never get......searching for satelite......signal on screen, etc. Just for the in built functionality it is worth it. Anyway I got a £4.xK discount on my car, in my mind I paid full list on the car and got SatNav, Visibility, suspension, wheels and brakes all for free

VW are no better, but I managed to get their £1900 Sat Nav system (made by Continental Tyres in the Czech Republic!) through the VW forum for £550. Talk about being penny wise, pound foolish. This time I decided to be pound wise, penny foolish. I was just as stupid!

Today is one of 'those' days for me. I have them more and more often and they get worse and worse. Omni-grumpy. I just wanted a damn good rant. I still feel p**sed off and hacked off, so there's been no cathaisis as yet.

Glad to be of service!
3pm is start time today for the medication and I'll be commuting to the bog with an 8 Speed ZF transmission in Sport+ Mode. Will be using paddles and all!
Unfortunately no Park Assist or Rear View Camera has been optioned so it's going to be a very manual experience and then some.

PS: Notice all my Smileys are nearly Estoril Blue II in hue!

No, it is Moviprep + CitraFleet. So it's the other end. Makes one very fleet of foot to the bog!

Don't all dealers do that?

PS - Wonder if BMW will sell many M Performance Brake upgrades at £1,960 a pop?

If they did, then there are lots of punters who have more money than you know what, IMVHO. Sorry to those who have indulged.
I'm still smarting about the Pro Media.

When did you order yours f30fan ?
It was so long ago I can hardly remember..

I believe mine was ordered at the end of August.. and I did make quite a few changes along the way.

Just spoke to the young lady at the dealership and my status is 9630 - Port of Entry (Southampton).

Next stage is transport up to Thorne for a BMW checkup and then on to a transporter for its final trip to the Dealership. Collection should be week 50 - 10/12/12 ...which cant come soon enough as I am about to ...

According to my dealer, the options which do increase the guaranteed future value for finance are Navigation 5-7% increase, Xenons 2%, 19" wheels 2-3% and heated seats 1%. Anything else doesn't add any value.

I agree it is a lot and some days it does smart. But most, as someone said above a separate Nav with trailing wires, waiting for a signal would smart a lot more

That's one of the reasons I may well buy my car at the end of the lease. I'll have leased it for two years and already paid for £6k worth of bloody options so I want it for a fiver

The wife can have it then and I'll get a new one. 'Cause I'm nice like that
