sealant waxes
I've noticed that several waxes are advertising themselves as having sealant properties also (e.g., Pinnacle Black Label Synergy). Would they be OK as a topping over a conventional sealant (e.g., JetSeal, Menzerna Power Lock), or better to avoid potential mixing of sealants?

I'm dubious. The purpose of a sealant is to prevent everything from dirt to water from sticking to the paint. Logically it would also prevent wax from adhering to it.

Yes you can apply wax over sealant. Benefits are minimal but it is one more layer of protection that will rub off before the sealant. I usually do 2 layers of seal y every six months (car is parked inside out of the sun at home and at work) then use spray on sealant from chemical guys every other wash or so.
