Delivered. Well some car mats anyway. I'm assuming that the car won't come with mats so I ordered some from Car Mats UK a couple of days ago and they arrived today. Hope they fit properly.

It probably has them, mine did, but just flat carpet mats. Mine came out on day one, replaced with Weather Tech that I had waiting to go in when I got the car.

The 3-Series GT is such a underrated car. I almost bought one but had to spend 5min explaining the car to my other half who didn't get it.

So true, youn either get the concept or you don't.

You have to be a visionary to own one.

I don't get your other half. Women in general tend to be a lot more practical than men...except where shoes are concerned.

When a lady is dead set on an SUV, there is little you can do to convince them to buy anything else. However I will be happy to consider the next generation 3-Series GT if BMW makes one.

That makes her the exception where the practicality of women is concerned. SUVs have no qualities that would ever cause me to own one. My GT beats the X3, X4 and X5 in every category.

The GT has more rear legroom than the rest. Only the X5 has more cargo space, and not by much, as it has the same 115 inch wheelbase. The SUVs have more headroom, but so long as it's sufficient headroom it doesn't matter if it's two inches or six. They're a bit wider, but are still five passenger. SUVs in general are the epitome of inefficient design, big on the outside, but not on the inside.

2013: VW TDI Passat Manual

While I am still pissed off at VW for the TDI mess, I am enjoying my GT.

I thought my wife was going to kill me when I even suggested it but her and my son love it.
