Way cheaper overall and go straight for the proper performance upgrade, i dont believe in just lowering a car for looks.

I do not agree who says that the springs will not improve performance; M per suspension is not coilovers just a spring shock set up. So performance should be similar.

And the m perf susp lowers the car an addition 10mm, just FYI for the comment u quoted above

same as the e90, thats only 0.393701 inches

Also i went through the springs ordeal w my dealer on my e90. we ended up not doin any upgrade cause it was not well received when i ran it through them about the lease return process etc
If I leased it I prob would not do too many aftermarket upgrades.

By any chance, will this set be adaptive? Since it said for no adaptive cars. After installing these will you get the adaptive settings in idrive?

I completely understand, i did the same thing with m performance brakes. no regrets, I just wish my car would get here already!

you are wrong here. look back at the info we have on the m perf susp. m performance is a complete kit, not just springs. It is also a fact that it lowers an additional 10mm over sport or msport susp.

Just want to give you all the proper info to make ur decision. Do some more research first so ur sure ur good with springs. (its widely known springs can inherently make performance of a car worse - this is debated, but def tru in my experience)

M division is said to be looking into a system for the adaptive, but many believe it wont come to fruition due to cost structures

heres a good link with some Q&A on M Perf Parts http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=660900

What i said SPRING / SHOCK set up. Please identify "complete kit" im pretty sure its a SPRING/ SHOCK set up and if a non sport u can upgrade to thicker sway bars that are on both m-sport and sport suspension.
10mm = .39inches doesnt seem much.

I have nothing against the m-per suspensipon i think its a great set up. If you have the sport or m sport suspension the car is already lower than the other lines so putting H&R sport springs which lower the car .8in is not going to be too bad for the suspension and may work well with the set up as other members posted. I also am the paronoid type so i checked with the dealer and they said it will be fine. (if super sport then i beg to differ) If you have a nonsport line then i would def get the m per suspension because of the difference in height causing more wear and tear to the struts.

I spoke with the people at steve thomas BMW running the site posted earlier. They checked my VIN, yhis is proper kit and will not effect the the different driving modes (eco pro, comfort, sport) now i didnt get m adaptive suspension so that is why it probably is compatible with my vehicle

H&R sport springs

Got H&R sport springs installed at the dealer and the car looks amazing and rides great. It does not bounce and body roll is almost eliminated. Handling seems to be a big improvement while comfort is really close to stock; its prob about 15-20% stiffer and really noticeable around turns. You really can feel the tires work much more. Can’t wait for the BBS CH’s to arrive with wider 235's in the front and 265 in the rear.

Regarding vehicles equipped with M-adaptive, The kit may be offered but it will require coding out the EDC function (i.e. EDC deletion)

The question is - whether ill be able to install M-Performance suspension (stiffer lets say) on a car with xDrive and M-adaptive option or not.
I dont care i lose its adaptive features, for sure,in fact it will make car more stable and harder ride.

$1089 at Steve Thomas is a damn good deal, I'm asking my dealer to see what can be done...they claimed to have it available, in stock. I'm highly incredulous.

alright some more info I've come across

-NOT available for Xdrive

-CAN be installed on M-adaptive (EDC) equipped cars but requires coding the EDC function out.

-all kits DO NOT include the springs in the listed price and they are required

-Cars NOT equipped with a sports suspension REQUIRE replacment of the front & rear sway bars

Scott

Well for those of us with a base model, this became financially foolish...the Dinan Stage 1's (not out yet, but assuming similar model/pricing as before) are $1500 and include springs/struts and don't require revised ARB's.

That's for clarification...I guess this is why my dealership hasn't gotten back to me yet!

Spoke with evan at tischer, he said same thing. Springs needed for install not available yet. Because springs are not out yet he did not have a clear idea on the price for full kit for F30 with sport suspension.
