And if the 320d isn't quite quick enough then put a tuning box on it for around £80 and get 212bhp and 437nm!

But yes, if money is no object then of course get the 330d, or the 335d, or wait for the M3!
I actually ordered a 320d with most of those options, then when I checked the prices for the 330d which came with some of the options I ordered as Standard it was actually cheaper for the 330d. The dealer contribution was more than £1000 more for the 330d and I had less options to add. No brainer and unfortunately the dealer let me change the order even though the first car was already in production.

Yea on BMW select finance on the 330d is cheaper, but BMW select has a massive initial payment, like £5000!

330d is more than £40 a month extra on 3+47 lease deals

Yep. I put down £15000 so my payment is less than £200 a month fully loaded. Luckily my E92 was worth quite a bit.

It's ok if you've got that much to put down. I want to spend the money from my old car on something else.

Have actually found the difference a month is only about £22 on nationwide vehicle contracts site, but then add extra fuel costs, insurance etc will be more like £50

It's good motivation to build up my business enough to be able to afford the 330d next time!

That's a great price for such a low deposit with that spec. Bargain to be had there.

Well that's for 6 months initial payment, and only 24 months which would mean paying another initial payment in just 2 years. And it's for just 10k miles a year, mine is for 13k

Thanks for the link though, i have requested a quote from them for the terms and options i need.

You can always re-negotiate the contract after two years.

This is the way to look at it, get "established" then go up sensible thinking.

Thanks man!

Tbh i was really considering an E90 lci 325d on finance until i found about leasing, and this 320d is quicker and considerably nicer & better equipped for similar monthly cost so i'm happy with that!

I have retired now and "done my bit", I love cars and had in the last 10 years 10 new one's, but prior to that it was "secondhand rose" my priorities were, mortgage and holidays and Kids, so cars were a less important although I liked good one's.
You have to get your priorities in the right order, it would seem you have, best regards J

I've received the quotes back from tilsun group and although the 3+47 deals are a lot more expensive, he also quoted me for 3+23 which comes out £4 a month cheaper than i'm paying for 4 years on a 320d!!

And apparently even though i'm still in my 14 day cooling off period, i'd have to pay 3 months rental to get out of it!

I am quite gutted to say the least!

That does not sound good. Is it in the small print? Get some legal advice, become a bit obtuse and see if there is a chance you can get out of it. You can refuse to pay them and come to an arrangement. Where there is a will there is a way.

Here's what it says in the vehicle order form that I signed:

Agency Contract and Supply Contract
By signing this form you are entering into an Agency Contract (for the supply of services) and a Supply Contract (for the supply of goods). Gateway2Lease will act on your behalf to source the vehicle(s) described above. It is your responsibility to ensure the specification of this vehicle is suitable for your requirements. You will not have the right (under the Distance Selling Regulations) to cancel the Agency Contract once we have begun to source the vehicle(s). An agency fee equivalent to the initial rental (incl. VAT) is payable in the event of the supply contract being cancelled. On confirmation of this order you recognise that you waiver your right to a cooling off period under the consumer act 1974.

So I do have a cooling off period but the writing above says that I have waivered my right to a cooling off period!?

I have sent an obtuse message saying I want them to do me a better deal on the 320d or I'll cancel and go to the other company. But didn't mention that I know anything about a cancellation fee.

If worse comes to worse, what do you think they'd do if I cancel and tell my bank not to allow them to take any money from my account?

I think with a distance sale you have certain rights and these rights are that if you are not happy with the goods for whatever reason, a complete refund is possible (perhaps minus a cancellation fee which I think should be reasonable). I don't know whether thay can call the 3 month initial rental which is a sort of deposit as an agency fee. I'm sure they have also charged you another fee eg admin fee on top of the 3 month initial rental. You need to get some advice from the Citizens Advice Bureau.

Check with your bank also if you can cancel the finance arrangement you've entered into. I presume you are paying them by direct debit.

All very upsetting for you, I am sure. Hope you get it resolved to your satisfaction.

It really is upsetting, i actually feel sick!

To make it worse it's now the weekend and looks like they're shut til monday!

Yes there is also an admin fee of £180. I'd be happy to pay that to cancel. I will try that if they won't let me out for free.

Thought as much. I remember years ago when I was charged such a fee, I threatened to cancel buying the car and they waived the fee. You will also find lots of leasing companies who when they do charge admin fees keep these pretty low (not as high as the £180 you've paid!).

I am sure you can work something out with them come Monday. Perhaps they or you can find out which Finance Company Tilsun are dealing with so that your chaps can replicate the lease on a 330d.

Tilsun's admin fee is actually £200, so guess it's a pretty standard amount now.

Well she's told me they definitely can't get close to the deal even on the 320d. I have emailed her saying I officially want to cancel my order under the distance selling regulations, 7 days to change your mind rule.

And I have emailed tilsun to say I want to take their deal.

I could not live with myself for the next 4 years knowing i'm paying more for a 320d than I could have got a 330d for!!

Fingers crossed that gateway2lease are going to just let it drop!

The deal for the 330d M Sport with the Tilsun Group is a once in a lifetime deal. If I did not already have a 330d M Sport and had owned another make of car, I'd have moved Heaven and Earth to go for it.

I'll keep everything crossed for you to have the car your really want. Believe me, it's a really wonderful car to own. This particular RWD BMW is something else and then some.

@teaston:
How do you feel this morning? I could fathom from your posts you were pretty stressed out last night. Totally understand how sick you must have felt. All the best in you quest for the 330d M Sport.

BTW, what colour combo will you go for? Please spec it either with Coral Red Hippo Hide or Indidvidual Leather.
