Full Black Panel Display

Does anyone have a picture of the standard display rather than the full black?

I ran out of room on my car limit and couldn't select this.

Not 100% how different the standard ones look. Not a lot i can do to change it now obviously but i'm curious nonetheless..

There is a picture of an SE without BPD on one of the UK threads. The clue is the MPG needle.

Ah OK. Thanks NISFAN

Just did a quick comparison on the BMW car configurator and the difference visually is minimal. However i'm sure when it is being used it provides a better experience.

andymj - exactly what i was looking for, thanks.

TBH i prefer the colour of the text on the non-BPD (never been a fan of BMW orange) but the ability to display lots more info on the BPD makes it worthwhile i guess.

Ah well - moot point as no changing it now... 6 sleeps to go.

FULL is in the price

As far as I know it replaces the MPG needle and the middle screen is slightly bigger. I would guess due to that it can display more 'stuff' than just odo, trip computer, etc.

The cheek is that the panel in the speedo is NOT used.

I'm confused,I though this related to the central screen not the main binnacle cluster?

Those pictures above look identical. I think surely the comparison should be made with the dash lights switched on etc...?

Heres one I found but no idea which one it is?

So one main obvious difference is the basic one has the crappy instantaneous mpg needle and the other one doesn't.

Yes, but if you want some of the options like lane departure warning and speed limit display, you need this option too.

On the other hand if you don't have those other options, there is not much more info that it can display, other than an LCD version of the MPG gauge.

Just checked the price list and there are some rip off scenario's

....for example if you had the following options ZMP (pro nav) ZAS (act security) 5DF (stop/go cruise) and 610 (HUD), all of these individually include 6WA (Black panel display).....so you would effectively be paying for Black panel 4 times.
