Has anyones order gone status 105 (hold)

Hey so my build date was pushed back over a whole month. I'm annoyed to say the least. My CA is saying it's related to the Japanese earthquake and semiconductors for the navi screens. I haven't seen a single other thread about people's cars being delayed. I think he might be full of crap.

So I never went 105, but since being built, my car has been on the scenic tour of all the major world ports.

Ordered 3/8, built in SA, just leaving Germany for the USA today 5/10.

I have never had a car go into 105 status but I have had delays and rescheduled production weeks.

my sa said theres delay in Germany as well production got pushed back

In the highly questionable EMF thread, someone posted they were told over the weekend that all Series 7s went on hold. Could be legit...might not be.

Edit: rereading, it says full sales stop.

So good news, My car has actually begun production. My CA did quickly mention the dates could be all over the place but with genius saying beginning of june and my CA seeing 3rd week of june I really thought I was screwed.

Car was only delayed a week and half, not awful.

That's good news for you !

I have just been informed of a similar production delay for my 328dXT, due to the inadequate supply of Japan-made chips for the Navigation system. The length of production delay at this point is undetermined. This is obviously going to affect all F3X /F4X production with Navi systems.

Same as me, I hope you end up with a similar outcome. Production dates are all over the place right now so don't freak out. Have your CA put a little pressure on their rep, I think that helped me. My CA let them know we really wanted the car for my birthday.

Yes, my car order has now moved to Status 111 - accepted for June production, no date as of yet. That's an improvement from Status 105 for sure !

Munich must now be receiving a limited supply of Navi chips.

The earthquake in Japan resulted in Sony, Renesas and Mitsubishi semi to all temporarily close and/or lose production capacity on image sensors and various automotive grade semiconductors.

Affects all cars specified with Professional Navigation System (in the UK we have a basic Business Navigation with a small screen and "pro" with the Wide screen)

Except in the UK we have no remote way of viewing you have to go to the dealer...

So I was totally in the dark and had been expecting my car in the next few weeks. It now has no ETA for build.
