"The Firm" defficiency of good will

So I went in to the dealership ("the firm") to ask about the balance of the 5 year service contract for my car.
The service pack expires in June; that's 5 years after first registration.
It seems that a previous owner was a week or two slow when the previous 4 services had been carried out; consequently the next service is scheduled in July, which is a month after the service contract expires.
The service manager of the"firm" claims that a five year contract doesn't mean that the car is entitled to 5 services!!!
He's voiding the final service due to the fact that a prior owner let the time due slip a week or two.
I call this BS. What ever happened to good will??? Clearly the intent of a 5 year service contract has the intent of 5 annual services????
What is other people's opinions on this matter??
I'm thinking this is a case for Consumers Affairs Fair Trading.

Can't you just book it in early before the expiry of the service? (Say you are going away or something)

wow, that's sad. I booked a brake appointment with my dealership and they didn't have the parts and said we'll have them in two days, it's covered under your ultimate care but your free service ends next Tuesday, can you put 200 miles on by Friday and we'll do everything else we can as well (oil change, wipers, engine and cabin filters).
