What price for private sale?
How is it best to price a car for private sale? I need to sell our 2014 (July) 14 plate 325d M Sport touring (we’re moving to the US).
It’s EBII, Coral leather 102k miles, FSH, MOT till July. Showing 16k till next service. M sport plus, pro Nav, heated seats and steering wheel and interior light pack. Great condition - front bumper is PPF’d, a few stone chips as you’d expect to the bonnet but nothing bad. No dents or scrapes. There are so few 325d around - WBAC offered £8845, there is a 63 plate touring at an independent garage for 10,500 I think it had a few more miles. For a private sale -£9995 reasonable? What are people’s thought, experiences? |

Pretty good rule of thumb, somewhere in between the WBAC offer and dealer prices is a good ballpark for private sales. I'd say post it at £9,995, of course you'll get the stupid offers but it'll probably sell for £9,000-9500.
Most buyers are weary of a car at 100k+ miles but theres always someone willing to buy. Decent spec as well. |

WBAC might say 8885 but they always find a reason to knock it down a bit so assume that would be a real £8500. Might be worth punting at £9500. Mileage will put some off. Colour scheme might put some off too - and be a real attraction for others.
Good luck with sale. |

Give the warranty line a call. I have a feeling that it may be transferable and that could give a lot of confidence to a potential buyer.
