20mm Spacers on BMW F30 M-Sport

Hey all,

I was looking to get these spacers for my 2013 BMW F30 335i M-Sport with M Adaptive Suspension. I also have the stock 19inch M Sport Wheels with 225/40 in the fronts and 255/35 in the rears. The spacers are 12mm for the front and 20mm for the rear and come with the longer wheel bolts (40mm for the fronts and 45mm for the rears).

Here's the link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/28500572857...mis&media=COPY

Any thoughts? They are an eBay brand but I've heard good things about them from others on this forum.

Hmmmm, not a fan of spacers personally as they mess up the scrub radius unless you move the lower ball joint out the same distance to compensate, but if its purely for stance purposes, then why not.

Really? I thought it was a normal thing to do as many people I know have put spacers on with no issues.

Spacers are common but there are detriments to them. In some cases they can be dangerous. The number of people you know who have them makes no difference...

Imagine mounting long cylinder shaped metal objects on your wheel hubs and your wheels at the end of those things.
Now imagine what it does to handling and the stress on suspension components, wheel bearings, tire wear etc.
Spacers are the same thing... just a bit shorter. There is a reason why ET value of wheels is an important variable to consider when replacing them.

Rooting for team anti-spacer.

Thanks for all the replies, folks! Really gave me some insight into the long-term effects of spacers. Think I'll be staying away from them for now
