xDrive or RWD?
Assuming you want a sportier ride... The xDrive model comes with the standard suspension even on M-Sport, so I would recommend the Adaptive Suspension (which will firm up the ride on Sport/Sport+ mode). The RWD model comes with the 704 suspension with M-Sport - which I've never tried personally - but I've heard good things about it. In this case, I think the 704 suspension is probably better than the Adaptive Suspension. |

I opted for adaptive suspension on my xDrive. I think having the option to be comfortable when driving on shit roads and stiff when on good roads is an awesome feature for the price. I don't lower my cars, so I'm not concerned with that aspect (if you want to replace the dampers, you're either throwing away the money you spent on adaptive, or spending a lot more on adaptive aftermarket dampers). Plus there are options for lowering with the stock dampers (dinan sells stuff, for example).
I'd also say get the lighting package. You might not think you need it, but the adaptive LEDs are also brighter. (See the headlight results here: http://www.iihs.org/iihs/ratings/veh...s-4-door-sedan The adaptive LEDs even in low beam mode light up further down the road) If you want to keep payments low, that's probably it. Personally I'm more of the opinion that I'll be happier with the car getting a lower model with all the options than a higher model with few options, and it's kept me happy with all my previous cars, so my 340 is basically loaded. |

I also suggest to get Adaptive M Suspension. It will help minimize the body roll and floaty symptoms of base suspension behavior. Are you leasing or buying the vehicle?
