Launching F30 335xi?

All I do is put it in sport+ left foot on brake and right foot on gas to which RPM? then foot off brake then floor the gas?

You also have to turn of DSC/DTC and rev past 2000RPM.

You mean turn off traction control right? im pretty sure sport+ turns it off, so 2000-3000 rpm is good? and is it dangerous to do when the light is red and about to turn green then you launch? the car wont slide side ways right?

The engine is not powerful enough (auto's don't have the equivalent of dumping the clutch) to worry 4WD traction. So no you won't be going sideways unless you do that on sheet ice.

Launch? I would guess, left foot on brake, floor throttle and release brake a fraction of a second later.

Motortrend or Road and Track in their video for 0 to 60 test for the 335i revved the engine to 2000 RPM for maximum acceleration (I think they did 4.7 seconds for the 335i). With all wheel drive you should be able to do the same to probably 3500 to 4000 RPM for maximum acceleration.

No worries of going sideways, with all 4 wheels getting power you should just hook up and go..........

4.7 for a 335i is rather amazing. You might be able to squeeze out a 4.5 with the 335i xDrive. Certainly curious to know.

Ok would it slide side ways with traction control turned off on the 335 RWD? Thats if i did something wrong like RPM to red line then let go of brake

That isn't called a launch, but just some tire shredding and clutch abuse

I don't think it would go sideways, I had a 2006 rear wheel drive BMW 330i with 6 speed manual and if you dropped the clutch at too high a RPM all you would initially get is the rear wheels spinning before they got traction.

When you say let go of brake, I automatically think you are talking about an auto box car?

In that case even a RWD you won't get into too much trouble launching as hard as the torque converter will allow. It won't let you get to the red line whilst your foot is on the brake.
