Our long term average over 11500 miles is still 38mpg. However that is arrived at by my other half averaging 42mpg when she drives, and me averaging 33mpg when I drive! I drive around in Sport mode most of the time though.

i've averaged 36mpg over the first 3000 miles. the best being 40-42mph on a long trip from GLA to Lon and back - the worst was the last fill at 31mpg - with mainly short commutes (8 mile mixed road) and urban driving

Not registered my findings yet so here goes. (335D Msport saloon - adaptive susp and VSS).

After 3100 miles average is 42.4 mpg - only use sport mode coming down steep hills and on series of S bends - perhaps 60 miles or so in total, rest comfort.

Best long run is 47.6 on A1 but never dips below 40 mpg. Also figures have improved either with car becoming more flexible and looser, or possibly with rise in daily temperature as Highland Pete has pointed out to us before.

Overall I cannot be happier with my expectations exceeded.

Not a 335d but just thought I would throw this in.....my car has just passed 600 miles on one tank, 610 miles to be exact with 30 miles range. Not a single mile done in ECOPRO and no attempt to stretch this tank....just a high mix of motorway driving so far this week.

Gauntlet thrown..... What's the best you've done?

When I went to lake side last weekend I did Eco pro down sensible and comfort back with mix driving, I got 5.7mpg better in comfort mode!!! Think they should ditch Eco pro in 330d and above and introduce a race option above sport+

I got 680 miles from mine and no Eco Pro runs either. Mixture of Comfort and Sport. Gauntlet thrown back!

Hmm I'm down to 36.8 now but I can't stop exploring my new turbine thrust :-) Novelty will wear off and then I'll be back to 38-39ish...

320 miles approx per tank on average from 4 tanks However last one was 400 so getting better. My right foot is down a lot.

Mostly London driving & short Journeys but I do make sure the engine warms up and gets well revved.

When should I expect a re-gen? I have done one 120 mile round trip to Kent and some decent speed around 1500 miles now.

on a 3200 miles average is 40mpg. However I did a weekend trip Glasgow - Dundee and had something about 50-51 mpg then a bit of town driving, launch control try etc went down to 46mpg on 270 miles trip. Commute mixture of motorway/ motorway traffic and town 30 miles a day returns with 35mpg (computer) and 32-33mpg real life.

We have a 12 gallon tank (inc filler neck and fuel lines). So you averaged 56.6 miles to the gallon.

Right.

The best I've had out of a full tank is 540. That was during a few motorway runs recently. If I have a normal month with 100% short journeys and town driving I can't get any more then 375 from a tank. Always ends up at this amount. Not bad all things considered.

It's a great app, I have the paid version, but the free one is just brilliant

I like how it shows the pence per mile.....helps keep perspective for me as that is how my car is funded (loosely )

Just picked up my long awaited f31 on Tuesday .
First 100 miles various driving styles and modes 23.5 mpg worrying!
So went too Eco pro for next 100 and drove it like it's made of cotton wool and got 40.5 .

Just returned home from a 9 day trip to Scotland, so a mix of long motorway journeys, a lot of medium length journeys around the country on a mix of roads, and a lot of A and B road runs. On A and B roads I tend to run in Sport+ most of the time, so making no effort to drive economically. Actually, quite the opposite.

1854 miles @ 35.6mpg average

Given how I've been driving it I really can't complain! We were fully loaded on the way up and down, and carrying lots of people around, and I've been making use of amazing roads all over the place!

Excellent, jealous here, although up there in August or so.

I can imagine some B roads on sport + must have been fun
