Sorry, in comparison, the 4GC just looks like a bloated F30, not as bad as the GT, but they should've stretched the GC, not just made it half an inch longer than the F30, with a different roof line. Looks good, don't get me wrong, but the sedan is more sleek than the "gran coupe," so what's the point. Should be the other way around.

Should've stretched it out like the 6GC. Shame.

I don't really think the F30 has been left in the dust to the extent that one would say the F30 is now a piece of garbage as one had implied earlier. JV and I had some light hearted humor about it just now.

It's just more options for everyone, each with its merits

The rear pillars are larger than on the F30 because of the hatch's inherent lack of stiffness compared to a conventional body. Engineers needed to add additional structure to get some stiffness back.

That 4GC is very nice indeed.

However I've always loved coupe's long doors. This and the roofline give the coupe that class and elegance i like. Exactly the same difference between A5 and A5sportback.

The visibility will also certainly be better on the coupe.

If the f32 and f36 were both available right now i would hesitate a lot between them and couldnt sleep veeeery loooong nights !!!!

To be honest, all new BMWs look the same recently ... For an average person, nowadays they cannot tell the difference ... My neighbor always tells me I like your AW 3 series ... So, does not make me feel good about my F10 ... Nonetheless, if you have the same engine under the hood, picking and choosing between 2, 3, 4, 5 or GCs or GTs is a personal choice.

Id probably pursue a used 6 series gc. Im not liking this design. coupe and sedan looks better.

Its been that way for years due to leasing. Dealers equip the cars the same to get the low $40k MSRP.

The legroom should be nearly identical, wheelbase is unchanged.
