Excited to see OP's finished product. Excited to see the argument end between a few of you when you realize that it's dumb and doesn't affect you if you don't want it to!

one of the most popular BMW builds, in recent years was Creaminz 335>M3 conversion. I thought it was overdone, but at the end of the day, everyone loved it, and not many cared that it was a 335. That car made numerous magazine covers and helped launch LTMW to the fame it has today.
Good luck with the build OP, its even more impressive that you are doing the work yourself.

It's a shop in SoCal, specializing in BMWs, made famous on e90post with this build. The owner started out as just helping forum members out with diys and bolt ons, to opening a shop and being widely recognized in the community. They are the ones that made the 1m style bumpers for the e90

Nice work, but what about the engine mods? Or this this just going to be a poser-mobile? As a former M owner, you bring great shame.

The other major factor is the owner is in Norway where M cars are much more expensive than other countries so a trade may not be every appealing. It does look the car is a salvage rebuild. Looks like a great project. ! |

This seems almost like an academic exercise - but with a car as the main subject.
You will certainly have something unique at the end - I think it's awesome.

It would only be cheesy if he were trying to make a Honda Civic look like a 458 or something along those lines. Aka, something that's truly special.
Just because you spent upwards of 70K on your M3 doesn't automatically make it special. Like I said above, it seems the OP is doing this as a academic exercise - he seems to want a AWD M3, which isn't currently offerend by BMW. If he has the patience, resources, and know how to create that, it seems pretty cool to me.
