New 340i Owner

Finally got my 3 series delivered today after waiting from 31st January when I placed my order.

My first impressions of my new 340i are wow what a car, feels so smooth, quiet and quick, it's everything I wanted from the car and more.
Taken it for a long run today to start to eat into the running in period.

Welcome! Just wait until you get to 2 to 3k miles she will get louder, faster and dirtier!

I'm only just over 3k miles in on mine but sticking in sport plus and reving her to 7k is just amazing!

Welcome and congrats AlRex. Terrific car! Yet another happy 40i owner. I've had mine since 01/03 and still not seen another one .

That looks great! What spec did you go for? Were there individual options that made the build take so long?

Your 320d is awesome too. But, did you ever think about swapping out your engine and getting the B58 engine that comes in the OPs car just to finish your car off?

Excellent choice and EBII is such a nice colour. Just hope you don't have the dog in the boot when you decide to rev it out to 7k... the thing is mental at those pressures!

I hadn't seen another one until this week when I spotted a 340i touring in a village near work, then a day later a 440i on the m1 near Chesterfield.

great choice op, I bet your chuffed especially after that wait! I ordered 23rd of Feb and have had my car since the end of April. I never really understood the concept of an engine feeling " tight" until this car - you'll notice it reving more freely and generally being more eager, and it will get louder and pop bang and cackle more in sport mode

It always amazes me how long someone waits for their car and then shows the world where it's parked

Congrats on your new car OP, I trust you have GAP

Lovely looking car OP, nice to see someone going for the "comfort" option with sensibly sized wheels.

No problem, he can afford an iPhone 6s so replacing the car will be pocket change to him

Seriously OP, removing the geo-tagging from your pictures is a good idea for your peace of mind. You can disable it in the iPhone:

Removing it from existing pictures can be done with an EXIF editing/stripping tool:
