Did I misread the MPG specs on the 335i or is this indeed true?
Fuel consumption in the EU test cycle is rated at 7.9 litres per 100 kilometres (35.8 mpg imp, and CO2 emissions at 186 grams per kilometre. Fitted with the new eight-speed automatic transmission, the BMW 335i is even more frugal, with combined fuel consumption of just 7.2 litres per 100 kilometres (39.2 mpg imp) and CO2 emissions of 169 grams per kilometre. |

It sounds complicated...
Now we have a sport automatic tranny w/ faster shift time, don't know how much it's gonna cost though. For me it's gonna be 335i xDrive + M sport package + M sport brakes + sport auto trans. (if it doesn't cost too much) |

From my experience more gear ratio mean really help to keep engine in low RPM when Eco-friendly driving

In the usual BMW fashion the engines and the transmissions are carry overs (E90 or other existing BMWs) with minor tweaks. The automatic is the same ZF 8 speed that already comes in lots of other cars. I drove an A4 with it, and it was the first automatic that I liked in my life.

Everyone here sounds so enthusiastic... Am I the only one who is fairly unimpressed?
There is nothing here that makes me feel like I want an upgrade from the E90... I do think that anyone who doesn't own an E90 will see some great stuff... but the delta from E90 to F30 seems very small.
So... yeah... what do others feel? |

Amazing that the 328 is rated 0-60 in 5.9 and the 335 is 5.5 with a stick. Can't wait to see if and when a wagon will come to the US and if it does I will get that instead of the X3.
