Yesterday I installed the JB4 Stage 2 and Shiftek 4" Catless downpipe. I have a 2015 335i so I ordered the electronic pneumatic JB4. As for gains, shiftek claims the downpipe gives over 20 hp and 25 ft lbs tq, which is pretty accurate since the VRSF downpipe gives 20-25 hp. The JB4 gives 60 hp to the wheels (80 to the crank) on a stock car. With other mods the JB4 gives up to 100 wheel hp. With these two mods the car gains anywhere from 80 whp to 125 whp. However, when you add E-85 into the car it becomes a different animal.

Today, I tested the car 0-60 mph in 3 different settings.

1. Stock (tested from before)

2. JB4 + Downpipe only in map 2

3. JB4 + Downpipe with 35% E-85 mixture in map 7

I used a 0-60 app because I didn't see the immediate need to spend $600 on the GPS device. These are the best times I got after 2-3 runs.

Here are the results:

1. Stock: 0-60 in 5.0 seconds, 4.9 with launch control

2. JB4 + Downpipe only in map 2: 0-60 in 4.4 seconds with launch control

3. JB4 + Downpipe with 35% E-85 mixture in map 7: 0-60 in 4.15 seconds with launch control( I don't know whether to round up or down )

I know you've heard it before but the tune and downpipes really make your car different.

I don't have any numbers to back up my claims but yes, a JB4 and a ***less DP are the best bang for the buck mods on this platform.

Especially the Shiftek @ $275.

I've only gone so far as Map2, I did not hook up the EWG or the FF wiring either, I'll wait until after our first dealer maintenance visit. I also have an ER charge pipe here but again, I won't install it until later or we have an OEM failure.

Once you add e-85 the car is much faster. The exhaust actually pop (like a fire cracker) at WOT when you upshift. I added jb4 and downpipe at 1500 miles. My dealer said there is no break in but I gave it time just in case.
