235/40 for 8.5j for front?
Hello. I own 2014y F32 435i (RWD), currently car has 400m style 18" wheels but now I want to go for 442m, I've found person who is selling style 442m 19", but problem is that he has 4pcs of 8.5J. so all of them are rear ones.
now I have question, ofc I will use 255/35 for rear tires but: 1) is it okay to use 8.5J ET47 (OEM for front is 8J ET36) also for front tires? will it cause any problem in future? 2) which size is better to use for them, 225/40 (I know its OEM size but I mean for 8.5J front) or 235/40 ? : 3) I'm currently using spacers front 12mm, rear 15mm, and if I put 8.5J 235/40 what is better: should I keep using front spacers or remove them? THANKS A LOT! Last edited by l-e-v-a-n; 06-30-2023 at 02:33 AM.. |

here's an x-drive with the same things done. https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1906246 if you don't mind understeer and rather have the staggered setup you can use 225/40/19(stretched) or 235/40/19(light stretch) if you desire. personally, i'd still run at least 245/35/19 on the 8.5" up front. in which case you might as well get 255/35/19. FWIW since 235/40/19(26.4") is taller than 255/35/19(26.0") it creates a slight reverse rake diameter stagger. somewhat unsightlier than level or forward rake. .
