Wheels & Tire questions

Hi all,

I just recently bought a new to me 2013 BMW 335i xDrive. I'm looking at getting new wheels and tires for the summer. The caveat is that the car is lowered, so I am unsure what will and will not work. The car currently has the stock staggered wheels and tires on it, but I am looking to hopefully get a squared setup on it.

Right now I am looking at getting 18x8 wheel with a 35ET on all four corners, with a 235/45/18 tire. I'm wondering if this setup would work? I'm not sure what the lowered setup is on the car, I will be pulling off the tires tomorrow to inspect and get a better idea, but perhaps some insight in the meantime can be provided in whether or not the above mentioned setup would work. Thanks in advance!

any one of the above, 18x8.5 ET35 5x120, color of your choice

square tire size 235/45/18 or 245/40/18 or 255/40/18

Remedy went with silver AH-X with 245/40/18 in the link below

Solidjake has 235/45/18 on his 18x8.5 ET35 Apex SM-10

personally, i'd get hyperblack AH-11(because they're the lightest) with 255/40/18 since your car has 6-cyl torque
.

Thanks, so any of those tire sizes would work with a lowered car? And would 18x8 work? I do like the AH-11's in black. All of the wheels I am looking at are 5x120, with the correct bore size, all between 30-47ET, I'm more concerned with the tire sizes and whether they would rub or cause issues on a lowered car.

at ET35, they'll all work on lowered

18x8 will work but 255 is too wide for it, so you'd have to get 235/45/18 or 245/40/18.

Last question, I found a real nice set of 18x9.5 wheels, would the 255/40/18's or any other tire fit on this or fit on the car in general? The bore size is also 74.1, so would need centering rings I assume. I'm just wondering if this would work given the lowered stance of my car? Thank you.

Edit: The ET is also 40, would that make any significant difference or not?

Edit #2, would 245/40/18 be better for this setup or viable?

9.5 ET40 front is too tucked, so the front will require a minimum of 5mm spacer but not more than 7.5mm, due to inner rim lip contact with strut and possible tire shoulder contact with the spring perch, depending on actual tire size/broadness. if you use too large of a spacer it may rub the fenderwell while turning, depending on the tire size. 245/40/18 will be quite stretched on 9.5", 255/40/18 will be stretched on 9.5". 265/35/18 has been done but will poke. they will fit fine at the rear. 74.1-72.56 hub centering rings.

below is 19x9.5 ET35 with 255/35/19. at ET40 the rim will hit the strut.
