I'd say we need a few mods, but as well as good forum experience we need people with very big knowledge on the F3X series and BMW's in general.

Not someone who is just 'active' on the forum.

There are only a few people suited to this.

Let's face it, imagine a ginger 'sweaty' from North of the Border trying to remain impartial and not jumping in to pure 'Jockenese'.

We can ignore people from Wales, everyone else does.

So obviously any Moderator must be English.

Even then, all Englishmen are not equal, no chance can it be a moaning southerner.

The type of person must capable of being impartial, level headed, able to step ensure order, therefore, Moderators can only be Geordies.

I found that quite offensive actually.

Just because I'm from Northern Ireland doesn't mean I would do any less of a job than an English person would, or fly off the handle for no good reason.

Do you have something against people from Ireland?

If I'm going to start an argument it would most likely be with you after that derogatory statement.

For the record, I'm not ginger, not everyone from Ireland is ginger.

Oi down here, we are very relaxed and live live as a chilled pace. I certainly wouldn't trust anyone near the radius of Birmingham or the West Midlands for that matter!

Not understanding when a forum member is being humours/sarcastic or the tone they using definitely discounts you from being a Mod.

As for the 'Ginger' comment he was talking about Scottish people, hence the term 'Jockenese' he used. (I'm not offended).

I think this Forum works great without Moderators. And comments like the above from someone who takes offense after a post meant as a joke certainly rules someone out as a Moderator especially after being on the forum such a short time

Let's take a step back. I'm still relatively new here but you get a very good grasp of the regular posters, their sense of humour and you quickly learn what is banter and what is being a knob. We self regulate well.

It's a forum. Different people and different online personalities. People will interpret things in different ways. The smiley face at the end gave it away that it was humour, if someone didn't pick it up from the post. We are all friends.

From the regulars I can't see anyone who doesn't say something that could be misinterpreted by someone who doesn't know how we roll.

I am a very humorous person, I can have a laugh and a mess around as much as the next guy can, in fact I'm known as the joker of my friend group, always playing pranks etc. So please don't worry about my banter'o'metre, it works perfectly, actually too well Besides the Irish are clearly not wise and are generally known to be a good laugh and the fact that we are drunk most of the time

I don't flip out until someone genuinely upsets me, I've saw brigand upset people in the past (no offence bud but you are known to be controversial) I thought his comments were a little harsh even if they were meant in jest.

I have been on here around 5 months, not a long time by any measure but I don't pretend to be anyone else, I am who I am and I will help anyone out on the forum as best I can.

So let's move on

Being able to handle comments and not be judgemental is one of the hardest jobs as a moderator, the easy stuff is where it's an obvious rule breach.

For future reference - a sweaty is someone North of the Border, over here there is only 1 border.
