I haven't even had it for 24 hours. So I've just been discovering the differences between modes. Using EP for cruising to and from work and comfort for most other driving. S+ is a blast and I just had to "test" it out a few times. Though I doubt I'd use it much in my daily driving except for special circumstances, in which it wouldnt actually be "daily driving" hehe.

I'm sure ill end up using EP and Comfort most of the time.

If I want to be more economical, I use the paddle shifters and shift earlier and pay more attention to a more gentle foot. I stay in this mode due to the steering feel, the firmer suspension and the throttle response that I'm more use to in a BMW. To my non-car friends, I call this the BMW mode.
  • Comfort - used on poor roads. I have adaptive suspension. I do use this in parking lots, and I have to admit, it is easier and quicker in tight spaces. To my non-car friends, I call this the Camery mode.
  • Eco Pro - snow or stop and go traffic. Long trips as well. To my non-car friends, I call this the Prius mode.
Camry Mode...ha! I'll definitely have to use these terms as my boss drives a Camry. We give him a hard time about it, even though he touts that it's a "Sports Edition".

Really good point. In my case, however, I don't drive in a very practical manner. Even on my morning commute, I love getting off the line quickly. It's just too hard to resist!

if you have a 335 I see no reason to stay in comfort, after all,it is dinamic sporty driving why you got it, otherwise you might as well decide for a 320 and save big bucks

Hmmmm as an owner of an M-Sport, I cannot make a joke about this. After all, I have M-Sports stickers all over, undisputedly make it faster :P

I used to use mostly eco pro. After driving in comfort for a whole day I couldn't go back. Eco pro is seriously weak

I have a set plan when I go driving:

EcoPro = Long Drive
Comfort = Drive with Passenger
Sport = Drive alone
Sport + = Never

I configured my Sport to be chassis only so I get the firmer handling and steering, without guzzling gas like a pickup truck, and use that most of the time, sport + when I want to have fun and comfort only when I forget to flip to sport .z

Sport+ is my fav as the traction control does not interupt on the launch, 1-2 and 2-3 shift.

In bad weather and long trips, comfort allows me to remove the edge and worry about traction.

Ironically, Sport/DS in 8th gear has been my recent go to on hwy driving...I get better mileage than comfort or Eco Pro (WTF?!)

Sport is by far the best driving mode. Comfort is second but I love the engine sound and throttle response in Sport, it's awesome.

Eco completely sucks but I use it on longer freeway only drives because it's cool getting 35 mpg. I still think I can take a Prius in Eco though......

i prefer comfort mode for everyday driving. Eco is fine for the highway. Sport is for the twisty's but in town/city the engine brake is hard and engine revs high.

Just an FYI - you should be able to attain the same mileage in ALL of the modes if you pay attention to what you're doing and don't mash the pedal everytime you launch/accelerate. All it's doing is numbing the response to your inputs. I'm not taking into account the active load management that Ecopro does, just the basics of throttle and shift mapping.

I drive sport+ 100% of the time and my running average over 2,500 miles of mixed driving (including 800 ED miles) is over 28 MPG. This is actual calculated mileage, not per the OBC. And I don't drive slow.

I personally am not comfortable with the numb throttle regardless of where I'm driving. If I need to react to something happening around me I want the car to do what I told it to.

I agree. Eco pro sucks. I use it in stop and go traffic, but sport mode most of the time on the highway with shift paddles with gear shift to the left. Then you can drive like a manual. I use this mode to the fullest. I mostly use comfort though in town. Eco Pro is a fun novelty at first but it really does suck.
