Dump the RFTs. They're garbage.

If that doesn't work, turn up the stereo!!

91 KMs to go for me...

Definitely do not for now. They'll probably use anything to void your warranty and dust liability off their hands for your problem prone 335i.

Your experience is definitely a nightmare. I'm still shocked they won't give you a new one. How much mileage do you have on it now? Ever since I joined this forum your car has been in and out of the dealership :/

I was standing outside my garage late last night and saw a dark grey f30 335i lift off the accelerator as they slow to a stop sign.....and behold I heard the double screech just like mine made.

This is starting to make be rethink my original theory that it's the exhaust flap actuator that's the defective part in the equation.

Hey Adrian, can you hear this rattle sound even when you have music on? I wonder if this problem is limited to RWD models as mine is an XDrive.

Nope mine is xdrive as well....it's actually quite noticeable outside of the vehicle or driving with the windows down.

Easiest to hear lifting off the accelerator under 3k rpm.

When coming off throttle I don't get a screech sound, but I do hear a kind of clunking/popping sound. I thought this was the "burbbles" everyone talks about?? Am I wrong?

The burble is fine....it's almost a screech or metal on metal grind that I hear. It also happened on startup when I guess the exhaust valve closed to warm up the cats faster.

It started around 2000kms and I'm at 6000kms now. Exhaust replaced at 5000kms fixed the issue, but I don't think the entire exhaust needed to be replaced.....oh well still under warranty.

Check engine light opened for the 6th time. Got the car back from the dealer on friday, they replaced the mass air-flow. Inguess that wasnt the issue... I am getting sick and tired of all this shit. I wish bmw canada ends up replacing my car.

Be persistent with these "Check engine light." problems. I've had persistent issues with my M3 and BMW stuck me with them when the warranty ran out. I think we need a real lemon law here.

Just noticed squeaky brakes this weekend. It's been sporadic.. I wash my car like every week... I might take it to the dealer if this persists.

Try bedding the breaks. I did and the squeaking went away.

OK. You can now add me to the M Performance Edition haters club.

I am just over 10,000 km and I was making a left turn and it felt like my car had been hit from behind. After pulling over I realized that I was not hit at all. Started driving some more and felt jerking and grinding in the rear. Decided it was best not to continue to drive the car in any way and had it towed to the dealership the next day.

They took two days to examine it and said they found "foreign metal shavings" in the rear differential. They are not sure how they got there. Sounds to me like they would have gotten there during manufacture. Well that's all great so replace it. Well, this part is on back order from Germany, so we will keep your car here for the next two weeks and you can drive the 328 loaner we gave you until then.

Really BMW? I have had this car for six months now and I get to cruise around in a rental for two weeks while I continue to make payments on this car they keep in the shop until they have parts to fix it?

Any suggestions guys? This is not making me a very happy new BMW customer. Quite bummed. Is this normal BMW reliability?
