"Just kick a foot under the rear bumper and the trunk pops open. Sheer brilliance--and it's standard on all 3-series."

This is a standard feature? I though you might need comfort access to get that...

That feature is also going to be on the new Ford Escape -- I too think it's brilliant....I can't remember how many times my hands/arms have been full and I have to set everything down to open the trunk....I bet/hope this will spread across other auto makers' models...

Probably not. Everything I've read previously has said that this feature is part of the optional Comfort Access package. I think AW got it wrong.
