make DHP ride softer?

I have the Dynamic Handling Package on my car. I was wondering if there was a way to set it softer via coding. The only two settings I believe I have are comfort and sport mode.

I'm sorry I can't answer your question, but I was just wondering: do you ask because you find the DHP ride uncomfortable when you have it on the COMFORT setting?

Doubt you can code for that.

Adjusting tire pressure should be helpful. I've played with a variety of pressures and combos to find the ride ride quality for me. Made a big difference with the DHP IMHO

Dhp was too soft for me as it is so I opted to get car without it.

I've driven F30s with the standard suspension, sport suspension and DHP, and I didn't find that any of them rode THAT differently.

Wheels & tires seem to make a bigger difference than anything. 20" ride worst, 17-18" ride best, run flat ride worse than non-RFT typically.

As surprising as it is I found the ride of the 19 RFT's to be much better than my winter 18" non-RFT's. The whole car felt much more connected and aside from the jarring shock of a pothole, the DHP was incredibly smooth. I find the car rides much more floaty with the smaller wheels.

To answer the original question - I don't see any way of this being achievable with coding. Based on my knowledge of the dampers, they're achieving the difference with electronically controlled valving, and it most likely just has an on/off setting. You would probably have to mechanically change the valves to make a difference.

What wheels, tires and pressures are you running, as that could be where you are finding the suspension is too hard for the comfort setting.

Some of the firmnes is not the damping but the spring rate, after all it is a sport biased active suspension. Wheels and tires will be one option to changing the working spring rate.

It is a 335 sport line with all seasons. It has the 18" rims. I am not sure of the tire pressure I just got it about 5 days ago.

Does anyone know if the front shipping blocks would be under the rubber shock protectors?

Or would it be visible between the springs.

Have you test drive the other lines without DHP?

Don't quite understand people order DHP and then complain about it.

This type of "customers" gives BMW the reason to make sh*t rather than provide a singular driving experience like it used to be.

In short, DON'T BE A BABY if you choose BMW. There are Merc, Cady and name a few to provide a soft ride

I will be checking my car for shipping blocks when I pick it up. I have heard this happening before.

Don't be a baby when you take delivery and the shipping blocks in your suspension were never removed. Ha
