for mirrors I would focus more on something as thin as possible. (the 3M that came with my CF mirrors was very thin and transparent).
For my CF spoiler, it came with a thicker (gray) 3M tape that is made for automotive purposes. Both have been on my car for 2+ years with no issues

The most important part is to prep the surfaces properly. Follw tempature guidelines. If you want the strongest bond purchase 3M adhesive promoter sponges. You can get a Pack of 10 for arounf $8 on Amazon.

My brother just got CF mirror caps and the 3M tape that came with it lasted for only 2 weeks until it came off and he had to do redo it, I agree with @greenkirby21 about it being thin as possible.
